Samir is a housing finance professional with 37 years of experience at HDFC Ltd, with core expertise in managing credit and recovery risk. Over the course of his career, he has played a pivotal role in developing the in-house Credit Risk Management team and in building a nationwide network of related professionals, including advocates and collection agencies. He has been part of several national-level Recovery Task Forces constituted for various branches from time to time and has served as a member of multiple national-level committees for different projects. Samir has also contributed as a trainer and facilitator across various in-house training programmes at HDFC Ltd. Drawing on his experience and knowledge in data maintenance and analysis, he has conceived, implemented, and executed initiatives to digitise on-field activities as well as back-office recovery processes, resulting in the development of robust, user-friendly systems for early warning mechanisms and MIS.
